Patapsco Valley State Park is centered around the floodplain and valley slopes of the Patapsco River, an important tributary to the Chesapeake Bay. The trails are mostly classic, east coast singletrack, with everything from root gardens and rocks to smoother, flowing downhills. The trails are open to use by mountain bikers, hikers, and horses. While the majority of the trails are of intermediate skill level, there are some technical sections that are only appropriate for experienced riders.
