Much like the BaltisMores, the MoCo sMores are led by a group of dedicated MORE volunteers. IN this case, MORE’s Todd Bauer leads the groups on a weekly ride.

The MoCo sMores rides, as its name implies, generally take place in and around Montgomery County, Maryland. But, rides aren’t “limited” to MoCo; The group has been known to venture as far as south Fairfax County, VA to ride the trails at the Meadowood Recreation Area. Like their sibling program in Baltimore, the emphasis of the MoCo sMores rides is to get families to ride together.

The MoCo rides generally take place every Tuesday evening at 6:00 pm at one of many of MoCo’s great MTB trails, there are several parks around Germantown which are great for kids to ride, including Schaeffer Farms, Hoyles Mill and Black Hill Regional PArk. Check the calendar for specific locations prior to heading out. Generally, the ride leaders will decide on the next week’s ride location at the end of the current ride and will update the ride calendar accordingly; their goal is to rotate venues to keep it “interesting” for the kids who attend regularly.

For information on upcoming rides, or if you have question on what to expect at one of the MoCo sMores rides, please do not hesitate to contact the ride POCs.
