This Saturday, July 31st, 2010 will be the MORE summer picnic and the first BIG trail-work day at Fountainhead . MORE will be adding almost a mile of NEW trail at Fountainhead and your efforts will be rewarded with a huge summer picnic catered by Texas Bar-B-Que. After we dig in the dirt, we'll be digging into some incredible food. If you think you can make it, please RSVP here: http://www.more-mtb.org/forum/calendar.php?do=getinfo &e=1656&day=2010-7-31&c=2&redirect=1 The tentative schedule for the day looks like this: 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM: We build some sweet single-track 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM: We kick back, relax and enjoy a catered BBQ 2:00 PM - 5:00 PM (and Later): Rides, games and socializing For those wonder what trail work we'll be doing. This will be completely new trail and will allow users to bypass the Woodpecker stream crossing and rutted uphill. (The original line will be left open at this time) We will do our best to take advantage of that huge empty are in between the loops. The new section should be fast and flowy with a few challenges thrown in. 3/4th's of the new trail will require bench cutting so come prepared to dig. We also have two large size berms to build so we'll need dirt movers and sculptors as well. After it is done hopefully it will look something like this on a map.
