Trailwork This Weekend: Ft. Dupont (DC), Colt's Neck (VA) and Gambrill (MD)

Saturday, November 10: Ft. Dupont

We will be doing another Trim-n-Ride this Saturday, November 10, from 9 to 1 at Fort Dupont Park. Meet at the rec center parking lot on Fort Dupont Drive. Dan will bring some scooby snacks (i.e. energy bars etc.), but if you're the extra hungry sort bring a little something extra. Bring a bike, long pants and shirt, and plenty of water. WARNING: We will be trimming overgrowth that includes poison ivy. Dan will bring Tecnu for after-ride washup, but be advised if you are extremely sensitive. We will be riding 5-10 miles, stopping to trim where appropriate.

we're planning to armor some low-lying tread around the bridge on the Colvin Run section. Coffee, pizza for lunch, bring bike for post-work ride.

Meet at the trailhead on Carpers Farm Way. We're short round-point shovels, so if you have a favorite, please bring it. Bring water, gloves and sturdy shoes.
