Description
Single track trail in the river valley with a few side loops that climb up out of the valley, traverse along the top and descend back to the river trail.
Notes: The white trail (little gunpowder falls trail) follows the river valley from Pleasantville Rd to the fields in Franklinville near 95. There are several loops along the way.
Directions
695 to Belair Rd (RT 1) north or 95N to 152 west to RT1 south.
Parking on the east side adjacent to the Little Gunpowder River. The trailhead to head west is directly across the street on the south side of the river. To get to the trailhead going east you need to ride north on the shoulder of Belair Rd over the river. Take a right onto the trail heading east. Google zip: 21087
Trail Information
Trail Length: 13+ miles white trail 1 way from Pleasantville Rd to trail end toward 95. Side loops add another 4 to 6 miles.
Trail Type: 95% single track. Some technical rocky sections and rock gardens. Rooty, rocky, long climbs on the side trails. Stream crossings. Trails are rockiest from Belair Rd to Jerusalem Mill. Trail from Harford Rd to Bottom Rd is the best section to introduce these trails to less experienced riders.
Trail Level: Intermediate, some rocky sections are a little more advanced if you choose to ride them all. Suitable for beginners Harford to Bottom roads and Bottom to Pleasantville with some hills.
