Seeking volunteer to lead MORE 20th Anniversary Calendar project
Hi MORE!
I’m your new Virginia At-large representative on the MORE Board of Directors. I’m looking forward to meeting many of you on the trails and at the MORE parties this year and beyond.
I want to pitch an idea to you. This year is the 20th Anniversary of MORE. To celebrate, let’s put together photos from the past 20 years into a 2013 calendar. The photos could highlight trail work that MORE has done over the years as well as show members doing what we do: riding.
I need a volunteer to be in charge of this project. This means soliciting photo submissions and in the end, putting together the calendar. This shouldn’t be hard. We can use a website for the calendar so that members can purchase them as they wish. I’m thinking Shutterfly or something similar subject to any restrictions such website might have.
Everyone is welcome to get involved in this. If you have a photo that you’d like to submit for the calendar, hang on to it so you can submit it once we have a lead for this project. Members will vote on their favorite photos. The 12 or so photos with the most votes get in the calendar. To get the most diversity of trails, if there are multiple photos of the same trail, the photo with the most votes gets in and the others will be excluded from the tally. It would be good to have some winter, spring, summer and fall photos so that the photo relates to the season for the respective month.
