How Do I Join/Renew MORE?

You can join/renew your MORE Membership online by following this link. If you are a forum user and not yet a paying MORE member please read these important instructions on how to join online..

If you are already a MORE member to renew you simply need to log into the membership area. Simply renew there by selecting a subscription from the product drop-down. All online payments are made through PayPal.

If you can't remember your password to the membership area please read this FAQ item.

If you don't want to join/renew online, you can also mail in your membership application.

I paid for my membership through paypal and my account has not been updated yet, what gives?

Did you send an eCheck? if so then you need to give the PayPal system several days for your eCheck to clear. Although we have received your payment, we are waiting for it to clear. Your account will be in a pending state until the approval comes through. Once it does, your account will be automatically updated. Check the PayPal site for additional information and for the status of your eCHeck payment.

If you paid via instant transfer and your account did not get updated please double check to make sure you DO NOT have multiple logins. The most common issue we receive questions regarding membership states is from users who have multiple logins to the site.

If you have one login and your account is still not updated please send a message with your user information to webmaster [at] more-mtb.org.

I registered for the free forum membership and have my user name. However, when i try to join the paid MORE membership it says my name is already in use. How can I sign up for the paid section after I registered for the free section and keep my username?

If you already have a user name in the forum and wish to sign-up for a paid memebrship you need to make sure to use the exact user name, password and eMail address you used when signing up for the forum.

Our membership system works like this:

When a user signs-up for MORE membership our software will check the forum database to see if the user name selected already exists. If a user with the same user name exists in the forum database the sofware will then check that the user enters the same email and password in the record. If all three items match the user will be allowed to go through the signup process.

If something differs, the user will be asked to choose a different user name because the selcted one is already in use by the forum. If the selected user name is not found in the forum database the member will be allowed to signup and will get added to the membership database and forum pending payment.

If you already have a forum user name and want to join MORE simply register for the paid membership using the exact user name, password and eMail you used to register in the forums. DON'T check to see if the user name is "available" the sytem will tell you it is not, but, if all three of the items above match what we have in the forum databse you will be allowed to preceed.

If for any reason you continue to have problems simply register with a new user name and let us know, we will merge your accounts into one.

I have reset my password and still can't log in.

This scenario is more common among forum users who are also MORE members.

If you are only a forum user and have never been a paid MORE member you can simply reset your password here. If you are only a forum user and wish to become a paid member please read these instructions first.

If you are a MORE member you need to reset your password in the membership area. To access the membership area click the "MEMBERS" link on the horizontal navigation bar at the top of the page or go to this url: http://www.more-mtb.org/members/member.php. Once there simply enter the email address or user name you used to register in the forums in the provided space, your password will be emailed to you.

If you followed the membership instructions correctly your membership user and pass should be identical to those in the forum and your accounts were merged automatically. If you have multiple accounts you will have to contact us directly so that we can merge them.

Once you are a paid member and you need to reset or update your password you MUST do it through the MORE membership area as described above.

I showed up at Fountainhead and the trail sign said "CLOSED", what gives?

The trail is checked on a daily basis by Regional Park Authority employees and it is usually determined weather or not riding conditions are good enough. If not, then they close the trail temporarily. Your best bet is to ALWAYS - even on sunny days - to call the Fountainhead trail line for current trail status - The telephone number to call is: (703) 250-2473

How do I change the title under my name in the forum?

First of all, make sure you are logged into the forum, then click "User CP" in the upper left hand corner of the forum navigation bar. Once in your control panle, click on "Edit Profile". Under "Optional Information" there is a text box where you can type your Custom User Title. Save changes.

How do I change the forum display to show new messages first?

First of all, make sure that you are logged into the forum, then click "User CP" in the upper left corner forum navigation bar. Once in your user control panel click "Edit Options". Scroll down towards the middle of the page until you find "Thread Display Options". The first drop-down menu in this section allows you to select your preferred display method. Select "Linear - Newest First" from the list and scroll down to the bottom of the page. Click "Save Changes".

How do I subscribe/unsubscribe to MORE's mailing list?

I just noticed that I can't post photos anymore although I have seen that others have. Are all the kinks worked out with the new web format yet?

There are some simple quota's for gallery and attachment uploads Registerd users: 2MB MORE Members: 6MB MORE Sponsors: 20MB If you are a MORE member or sponsor and are only listed as a registered user please contact us with your user name and the eMail address you used to both register in the forums and for your MORE Membership. Is there a print only version of the forum pages?

YES there is. When in the forum and viewing threads all you have to do is click the "Thread Tools" link at the top of every page to display the thread tools drop-down. The first item on this drop-down is an option to "Show Printable Version". When you select that option a very plain version of the current thread will load on your screeen for you to print.
