07 Raleigh XXIX + G - or - 08 Cannondale Caffeine 29r

Title says it all, smoked my 26" GT's frame and going 29r. So I'm now debating between these two:

'07 Raleigh XXIX +G w/ 80 mm Rock Shox Reba SL

OR

geared '08 Cannondale Caffeine 29r w/ 80mm Lefty fork

Price isn't an issue here, I'm looking for the better bike. After reading the mtbr reviews, it seems like the cannondale's the better deal. I rode it yesterday and loved the Lefty fork. Taking the Raleigh out for a spin tomorrow. Are there any mechanical issues anyone's aware of that can make this an easier decision?

I would prefer BB7 on the Raleigh than BB5. Being able to adjust both sides with a dial (no tools!) is great in my opinion. It's a relatively cheap upgrade though.

I assume by "G" you means gears?

Not sure how you feel on the steel versus Alum debate?
