Got a friend who has late 90's Klien Fervor, which he likes alot.
It has a 1" quill stem by Zoom which has a press-in plastic stem cap.

The wrenches at his LBS lost the cap and he'd like to get another.
Does anyone have any laying around (ha!), or know of possible sources?

Pics of the stem are below.
As you can see the cap is elliptical - an odd item.

Thanks!

Dave, no kidding, i was looking for the exact same plastic cap for a quill i had a few yrs ago. I looked EVERYWHERE. I tried to Home-Depot a cap for it, but couldn't quite figure that out either.. anyway, good luck!

If he can't find an original or doesn't want to use an quill-threadless adaptor + new stem, he could insert a rubber plug and cut it flush with the angle. A slightly oversized plug should fit the elliptical shape and make a decent seal. A cork screw could remove the plug when necessary.
