FS: Sidi Dominator 5 Lorica MTB Shoes - Men's BLACK 45

Bought new this spring, ridden 10-15 times. Just can't seem to make my big toes happy in these shoes so either I got the size wrong (possible) or they just aren't going to work for my feet. They perform great otherwise. List for $230, I paid $190. Willing to sell for $160/OBO.

Located close to Schaeffer, can deliver there.

I had to put the Specialized shim inserts in my pair to get them right. It might be worth a try unless you are smashing the toe into the end of the shoe.

What are those? The shoe fits size wise, just can't get the big toe to not hurt after the first 90-120 minutes.

is if the cleat is positioned wrong.

I had the cleat on one foot a millimeter or two out of wack that would put pressure on a nerve in my foot that would drive me nuts. I readjusted the cleat and no more problem.

I tried that, couldn't make any difference - tried about 3-4 positions.

They are inserts like SuperFeet, except designed for cycling. They change the feel/fit of the shoe on the bottom of the foot and MIGHT relieve pressure on the toe. I say might, because it might also be a case of too much flex in the shoe. I like my SIDIs okay, but I feel they could be stiffer on the bottom and they would be better.

The high end Specialized and Shimano shoes are a lot stiffer on the bottom. AND... before anyone says it... I think they still hike great when you have to get off the bike. SIDI does have the most comfortable upper of the three, but that's not where I tend to have issues.

If these were Mega 45 I would possibly take them. But alas not my width.

I'd consider them. Since my feet are too big to fit in the womens model (which I really wish I could get in the pretty colors). If they really don't fit you I might try them. I think the other pair of cheaper Sidis I have are 45s.

Still for sale, sorry missed the questions about the mega wide. They are the standard shoe, not the mega wide.

Make an offer.

I tried a pair of 45s in a store with socks, and my bigger foot (yes, one foot is a half size bigger than the other) seemed like the big toe touched the end.

Then when I was in the neighborhood, I popped into a store, and they had 45.5s. But I had no socks with me. So I tried the 45.5s with no socks. My bigger foot seemed to swim in them.

I'm not sure what's with that. If I thought I'd could fit in your shoes, I might make an offer, but I'm not sure I do.
