We'll be taking doing an extended trip later this year, schleping the bikes along.

Pre-shipping is not an option to this location. Hard sided bike boxes have worked great, but become a bit of a hassle space-wise during the trip.

So...does anyone out there have any opinions or experience with the soft-sided cases? So far I've seen ones from Sette and Performance. Are there others?

Thanks!
Brian

BrianHave you checked out the Crateworks? It breaks down and folds really small.

I just can't trust my lovely bike to the soft-sided cases. I use the Crate Works (http://crateworks.com/) box that is made of corrugated plastic. It has heavy duty velcro at the corners so you can break it down and lay it flat for storage or transport. I've had mine for years and it's probably gone on at least a dozen trips and is still good to go. In fact, it will be on it's way to Scotland with me tomorrow.
