OK, I've heard mixed things about K2 bikes. Anyone have experience or heard good/bad things about them? I love my K2 skis, but don't think that immediately translates. Thanks.

If it's any consolation to hear indirect praise from someone you don't know... one of my best friends races mountain bikes and he has a K2... :)

I'd say stick with the skis. They're a ski company, not a bike company. You don't hear about Specialized making fatty planks do you? :)

Didn't K2 buy Proflex some years ago??? Or am I confused?

I had a K2 Proflex frame for several years that I loved. Got it in 99-ish and rode it for several years and had no issues. The only reason I stopped riding it was that I wanted a bike with less travel so went to a hard tail for a while until my husband upgraded me to a Blur.

i had a 98 or 99 k2 razorback hardtail it was awesome, it was unfortunately too small for me, but man did it handle and was unbelievably light weight, i don't know about their current offerings though.
