I need another 20mm hubbed front wheel. I have a 9mm QR wheel with a really nice Mavix x819 I would like to reuse. My question is how much are spokes and nipples gonna run for a 32 spoke DT Swiss 15/14 butted setup gonna cost me?

Tying to decide if it is worth it to reuse the rim or keep it as a spare and build up an entirelly new wheel.

I've got a Sun Singletrack/Hayes 20mm front wheel I'll let go for cheap... :)

Hayes makes a hub? I might take you up on this offer.

don't remember which model they were.

I've ridden a couple over the years and they've been very unnoticeable.
No complaints, solid, reliable, smooth.

Wonder where that wheel came from? ;)

In the unlikely event that the spoke hole diameter is the same between the 20mm hub and the q/r you have now, you can reuse the spokes and relace. I use DT's spoke calculator to do "what if" scenarios when I'm thinking about reconfiguring wheels.

I just tried it with a Shimano XT 6 bolt disc hub and a King 20mm front hub on the same X819 Mavic rim and the spoke calculator came up with them being within 1mm of each other on spoke length.

Is that close enough for jazz?

Should be fine. I'd recommend using new nipples but if the spokes are in decent shape and not too old, they should work.

Make sure you loc-tite the inserts into the rim. I had a factory built EX823 wheel all but come apart on me until I relaced and loc-tited them.
