Saturday, June 2--Ft Dupont
This coming Saturday, June 2, is National Trails Day. The American Hiking Society and the National Parks Service are sponsoring a hike and trail cleanup in Fort Dupont Park in DC, and we've been asked to join in. We will be doing a trim-n-ride to clear the main trail of overgrown vegetation, which unfortunately includes poison ivy. This is a problem for bikers and hikers alike, and since this is the only legal mountain bike trail in DC (and one of the very few NPS parks allowing our kind), we need to pitch in and help keep it up. Plus, the AHS does some good work on trails, and the more we can work with them, the better our trails will be.

Please come out and join us, and RSVP, even if only with a maybe, so I have some idea how many people to expect and can tell the AHS how much food to bring. You can RSVP by posting here, e-mailing me (Dan) at dbfitzgerald@yahoo.com or calling me at 202-415-5315.
