The Bike Lane in Burke, VA (www.thebikelane.com) is the proud sponsor of MORE’s 2007 Spring Trail Work Series. By volunteering to help out our local parks, you can enter to win some great prizes including a new frame or bike!
Saturday, May 19--Rosaryville
Time: Meet at 9:00am (Pre-ride 7:00am)
Directions: http://www.more-mtb.org/forum/showthread.php?t=1198
Meet at kiosk parking lot per directions. Bring plenty to drink, work gloves and boots. We will work as long as anyone would like. This will be another great Rosaryville Trailwork day in 2007. Whether this is your first work day or you've done trail work before, this is a great way to help take care of the trails we love to ride here.
IMBA Trail Solutions trail specialist, Rich Edwards, and associates will continue working the internal challenging advanced loop again this week starting Tuesday May 15, all the way into our scheduled Rosaryville work on Saturday the 19th! Volunteers are always appreciated and needed. Times: 8am to 5pm, or after 5 until about 7:30 for those who call in and say they can help after 5pm.
We are fortunate to have IMBA working on our workday this Saturday.
This is also the annual airshow at Andrews Airforce Base. Often the planes bank over Rosaryville as they head back for another pass.

UPDATE: It's supposed to rain Saturday. I'll make the call around 5:00 PM Saturday
as to whether or not you should go through the trouble of bringing a bike.
You should of course, still show either way! Call if there is any doubt.

Bring your bike! I have lined up 5 Bob Trailers and need adventurous types to tow in tools for us. You will need a quick release on your rear wheel, bolt-on's need not apply.
The Bob's will enable us to work in many places at once. Bring your bike!
Our current punchlist includes:
- Deepen the benchwork on the Ridge Trail ( orange blazes ) on the last reroute PSVP's trail crew did last year.
- Nick two soft spots on the Ridge Trail in the switchback reroute we did last year.
- Deepen the benchwork in some spots on the second right branch from Landing Road of the Cascade Trail ( blue blazes ).
- De-berm some spots on the second right branch from Landing Road of the Cascade Trail ( blue blazes ).
- Correct an intermittent wet spot on the Cascade Trail ( blue blazes ) out near Landing Road.
- Fix your favorite wet spot, we're on bikes and can go anywhere!
Bring your bike! And any of your favorite shovels, loppers, mcleods, pulaskis, rakes, a good set of work gloves and water. The park will supply us with a truckload of tools. Hiking in will be okay too, but it might be a long one.
Meet at the Avalon pavilions Sunday 5/20 at 9:00 AM. I’ll be there early with donuts. Bring your bike!
