Just for fun, I built a silly little stunt in my backyard... I used it as an excuse to finally buy the framing nailer I've been wanting for so long. Anyway, I made a short video of it, which you can see HERE (https://home.comcast.net/~bcelwood/backyardstunt.wmv)

Sweet, I'm hoping to do a minor build in my BY in the future. We'll see how the time thing allows...:) Not to mention the wife thing...

My non-riding buddy was trying to get me to build a wall-ride up against one of my trees! He said, if I would build it, he would go buy a bike! Ha!

You wanted a framing nailer.. I hope you bought a nice one.. I currently have my neighbours Paslode cordless fuel cell framing and finishing nail guns.... They rock.. but at around $400 for the framing, and $350 for the finishing.. I will just keep stealing my neighbours..

I have a nice 50 foot very steep downhill in my back yard... I should make something to ride down heh... Ignore the fence in the pictures.. a previous owner pulled the fence up towards the top of the hill... they probably had kids..

I actually bought the cheapest one I could find... A pneumatic Porter Cable, that sold for $199. (I already had the air compressor) It seems to work pretty well, so far.

You could definitely build something cool out there. And a transition is already built in! :)

Couldnt you have just layed the first board up on a picnic table and rode off that?

I suppose I could have if I had a picnic table in my back yard.

It wouldn't be nearly as cool, though. :D

Have fun! :p

Ha! No, no broken bones yet... I did take a nice pedal to the shin the other day, though. Youch!

Two words: Pump track.

And what's wrong with an old fashioned framing hammer. They cost, what, $20? Plus you get a work out. :D

I know, I know... I'd really like to build one. I just don't have enough room for one, and I would hate to tear up my entire back yard like that.

Screw a hammer! :p

Honestly... It was pure laziness. :(

nice little stunt! I would add support in the middle of the ramp( looked a little flexie),before it brakes on you.
