Anybody know of a bike store not absurdly far from Silver Spring with a decent selection of shoes?
I need some new ones, but my feet are absurdly narrow (43 AA, weeee), and CityBikes only carries Specialized shoes that are far too wide in the front for me. Performance (I know, I know, I went to my LBS first though!) kind of misses that $100ish range... you either get super low end or you get Sidi Dominators (which I wish I could justify!)

I also have a pair of narrow feet and can't justify the $300 Sidis. So I online-shopped Sette shoes (sorry LBS, but I do drop $ locally also) at PricePoint.com and wear 2 pairs of summer socks. Or one pair of thick socks in the winter.

Once you find a shoe you like, keep an eye on Nashbar. I snatched up a pair of narrow Sidi Dominator's for $80!!

EDIT: Heh, they had a pair of Sidi Dominator 4 narrows up there for $60 bucks, I couldn't resist! Thanks for the tip... hopefully they fit!

I too have narrow feet (10B) and have found these shoes to be very comfortable: http://www.performancebike.com/shop/profile.cfm?SKU=22226&subcategory_ID=2120
I've had them since March and have put about 250 miles on them, road and mtb.
Things I like: the heel cup really holds onto my heel and the toe box is very roomy. So far, I haven't found anything I dislike about them.

I tried those on and they were close, but the arch and heel support hit me wrong.
I'm absurdly narrow - 43/44 AA (yikes). The only thing worse than shoppipng for bike shoes? Shopping for ski boots - I ended up having to get not only custom insoles but some italian leather cork+oil form fit liners and a whole buncha other work done. Thank god I was still PSIA and got a discount on 'em!

Aren't non-standard feet fun?
I get my narrow feet from my mom's side of the family. On dad's side, feet run wide. My brother has EEE or EEEE width feet IIRC.

Is the female version of Sidi's Dominator called Dominatrix?

quick update -
Got the Dominator Narrows (2003, but what the hey, shoes don't have an expiration date), paid about 70 bucks to my door, and they fit like a glove. Gave 'em their break in ride yesterday, and they were awesome.
Thanks for the nashbar tip! And I bet nashbar was happy to get rid of the one pair of those shoes they still had in stock...
