View Full Version : teen teams - TFK looking for riders

TFK is going racing this year and looking for some junior riders to participate in the cranky monkey series (14 and older) and the wednesday at wakefield series (10 and older). Applications (an email with who you are and why you want to be on the team) will be accepted at race@tfkmetrodc.org We are looking for kids who will represent us well, volunteer for community service, and like to ride. Benefits include discounted parts, jerseys and use of TFK bikes and tools if needed. TFK will also cover costs of races for deserving youths on the team.

I'm 18, does that count? I'd like to do some racing (and discount parts!), but i've never raced. And need to get back into shape.
Oh, and what he said, any DH/FR?

yeah i race here in cali and need to find some racing in DC but, i race dh so thats what im hoping to find

tfk team is set for riders for 2008, all cross country sorry. City bikes and the bike lane both have youths on thier team. cross country racing is a great way to build fitness, lots of downhillers do it in thier spare time.

Scud fries could easily be the key to peace in the Middle East. I mean, the world is just a better place because of them. :D

I ain't that big of a XC guy, but i have a bike (which needs like 2 or 3 parts) and i've very willing to race. Just need to get my stamina back up.
Would there be any training sessions around here for the not in shape rider? How many people are on the team already?
