I was up there a couple weeks ago, riding out of the church lot) and saw several guys on fairly long-legged bikes, one was wearing shin guards. They didn't really seem to know what they where doing, so I just figured it was a "more money than skill" type situation (expensive bikes). Then when I get back to the car, I see another guy in armor and a long travel bike heading out.
All the trails I know of over there are pretty mellow. Is there something I don't know about?

I've heard rumors of stuff up there, not exactly on the up and up. Never checked it out myself. There was a guy that posted on here every once and a while, his ID was Pi314... something or other that rides / used to ride there pretty often. I haven't seen him around these parts recently though. You might try PMing him. Also MTBR.com's MD forum might have some info for you. Good luck. Report back what you find.

there's some big stuff back there, it's hard to find-can't remember myself. it's makes lewis and clark look mild, but there isn't a whole lot of it. there's some 10 ft drops and stuff, and if i remember a couple of ladders?

I know there used to be a pretty nutty downhill over by where the cliffs are, and I've even heard stories of guys jumping off the cliffs with bikes. I've never seen someone do that (nor would I want to).
