Wow, it seems allot of people are doing womens clinics now! The past two that I led were great! Everyone did so well, in both the beginner and the advanced. I wanted to share some of the pictures from the advanced clinic!
As it was rainy the day of the beginner clinic, i have scheduled another on the 21st. Details in Liz's previous post. I am also planning an intro to freeride clinic on may 19th. We will post details as the date approaches.

Hi Hillary,

Thank you so much for your patience, your instruction and your
expertise during the clinic. You are an EXCELLENT teacher, and we were all so appreciative for your time and help. What incredible fun riding with
you, Julie, Tracy, Debbie, Cathie--all skilled and gutsy women!

I know that not everyone in that group had experienced doing jumps before, and you had all of us trying it AND DOING IT! with ease. That said a lot for your ability to build confidence in all of us along the way.

I'll look forward to riding with you and everyone when I am much more "on." This 6-7 month break from riding was tough, but it is exciting to start over again, especially without any kind of pressure to race (won't even think about that til next year). I'm enjoying mt biking again simply for the sake of riding, and that is something I haven't done for a while.

You completely changed my outlook on my riding - I had been racing in all
kinds of terrain, getting faster on most things, but I was frustrated that I wasn't getting more speed on twisty singletrack. I had no idea I wasn't using my legs to corner and propel through turns (only shifting my body), and already I feel a different kind of speed and control when trying the techniques you demonstrated. Thank you for your keen observation and teaching!

I'll look forward to seeing you on the trails soon! Thanks to everyone there for a great experience!

Becky

Sounds like I should have dressed up and tried to infiltrate. I'd love to learn how to jump/corner well :)

I second Becky's praise of Hillary's clinic! Not only is Hillary a fantastic teacher, but she made me feel brave enough to step out of my comfort zone and try things I normally skip. If you have an opportunity to take one of her clinics I highly recommend doing so!

As Napoleon Dynamite said: "You got like three feet of air that time. "

Don't forget to bring the skills Tuesday so you can show slobs like me what you learned. Looks like it was a good time.

The clinic this Saturday was GREAT! Hillary, amazing job. It is enormously helpful to finally have someone point out correct body positioning and technique and have the opportunity to practice those skills. Not to mention the great weather too. Looking forward to leaning more at the advanced clinic.

Can you send around some of the pics you took? ... when you have some time :)

THANKS!

I second Dharma's post on Saturday's clinic. Hillary is a fantastic teacher and after taking the clinic I have a lot more confidence in my ability to navigate the trail. I'm looking forward to testing out my new skillz during a RLAG ride.
