The Girlie Rides @ Patapsco start this Wednesday (and last until the fall)! Following is some information about the rides:

WHEN: Wed. April 4th, wheels rolling at 6pm or as close to that as possible
WHERE: Main Pavilion at Avalon area of Patapsco Park (the usual meeting place)

The rides will be held every week same place, same time unless the weather or trail conditions prevent it. The ride is open women of all skill levels.

I'm not one of the organizers and this is not affiliated with Ride Like a Girl, but I wanted to pass the word.

Cool! Sounds like good Wednesday fun. Do you know what kind of pace they tend to ride at?

It's a casual ride so they basically go as fast as the slowest rider, allowing time for everyone to catch up and get a breather. It's a nice group with some very experienced riders who are more than happy to share their biking knowledge. I'm planning on going tomorrow night if the weather holds out so maybe I'll see ya then.

Julie-

Is this the same women's group that used to ride on Monday nights? Do you know who is leading this series?

Thanks,
AmyN

Yes, this is the same group. I believe Tracy Posner will be leading the rides since Sarah relocated for a job she took with Trek.

Look forward to riding with you again Amy!

Hey Marie! I've attached a map of the Avalon area for reference.

Follow the trail from the PNR to the road (see map, you'll be near pavillion #10), take the road straight through the RR tunnel and turn left, take that road until it ends, turn right and follow across bridge, turn right into the parking lot. The pavillion is located in this parking lot (pavillions #104 & 105 on the map).
