Looking for a volunteer to step in and fill the roll of Colt's Neck Trail Liaison. Colt's Neck trail encompasses about 10 miles of looped trail, including Lake Fairfax Park and the Fairfax CCT. Responsibilities will include running trail maintenance days, usually twice a year, and working towards new and more sustainable trails.
I will be meeting with the park rangers around lunch time on Tuesday or Wednesday of next week (3/27 or 3/28) to discuss the upcoming trail work day among other issues. It would be great to have a volunteer to step up and join me at these meetings and to get to know the park staff.
While I have thoroughly enjoyed my few years as trail liaison for Colt's Neck, there's a possibility I will be moving very soon and I'd like to phase in a new liaison as soon as possible. This position can be filled by almost anyone, the only requirement is to be a member of MORE.
