That's pretty much it...just seeing if anyone's got opinions on these. I currently have Oury Lockons, which weigh more than my handlebar. Looking to save a little weight but don't like the idea of foam grips. These are supposed to be pretty nice from what I hear.

I got quite a few replies to this (http://www.more-mtb.org/forum/showthread.php?t=5554) thread I started a while back. I was specifically asking about installation, but there are a lot of general, very positive reviews.

Kona team riders are apparently using bar tape wrap. I have seen a few pictures and was noticing they wrapped the bar with roadie tape. I would guess you would have to redo it every couple of races. I am not sure how much weight it would save. I love my ODI Oury lock ons, but they weigh less than my bar.

I use the ESI grips and love them. they look a little odd since there is no tread or pattern to them. but grip is fantastic and once you have them on, they don't budge at all.

I was thinking about those myself. How thick are they? Specficaly is there any problem using them with SRAM twisters?
