I got bored today, so I made a video of us riding the new log-ride for the first time. Not very big, but Im happy because it's my first video.

Hey RideFREE, great job with the video, especially the part shot from inside the tree trunk.
But I have to say, as the mother of a teenager, please wear a helmet! Everyone's wearing them these day...the guys on Roam, professional downhillers, Hell's Angels....so it's not completely uncool. And a whole lot better than a concussion or a skull fracture.
Lecture over

Ditto - keep up the shooting and wear a bucket...

Its directly in the middle of Olney, PM for better directions if you want them. Theres not really anything worth driving too far for right now, but if youd wanna help thats cool. We usually wear helmets back there when were riding, I guess we werent really planning on riding anything that day.

what bikes are you all riding? I'm looking to get FR type ride for around $1k. any suggestions?
not to jump on the preacher bandwagon but yea, where a brain bucket. I wrecked bad off a jump some years back...ended up blacking out for about 20 minutes. Turned out it was a concussion.

I would look into a used FR rig if your budget is $1000. Nothing really around the thousand mark that will hold up, unless you want a burly HT.

I've got a Yeti AS-X. I've got about $3K invested in it. Actually more if you count the replacement cost of broken parts.
Probably the best bike I've seen new in your price range is the Iron Horse Yakuza.
