Trail Closures

How does MORE handle trail closures in the DC/NOVA area? Do you have a communication plan (phone hotline, e-mail list, website,...) when trails are closed/opened due to bad conditions? Or is everything based on good faith. Is the plan implemented across all trails or does it change based on the land manager?

Some trail systems like Schaeffer Farm, which just recently closed for the season, have a hotline. Schaeffer's is 301-924-1998.

Closures are also posted on the website.

Common sense should also always be applied.
