Does anyone have a spare Surly Tugnut or similar type device you want to part with? The rear wheel I am converting for singlespeed use has a quick release, and I figured I need one to keep it from slipping. This is the last piece I need to get on the trail. Thanks.

john-
i know that the bike lane has several in their SS bin.

dumb question - does your frame have rear facing (horz) drop outs? if not, the tug nut won't be of any use.

Thanks for the info on The Bike Lane. I will try to go by there tomorrow (if they are open) or Tuesday.

Yes, it has horizontal ends. Thanks again.

Thanks for the info on The Bike Lane. I called and talked to someone there yesterday and was told no, they did not have any; although he may have meant they had no new ones. I will try to go by there tomorrow (if they are open) or Tuesday.

hmm. i was pretty certain they did this past week, but i may have mis-spoken. If they don't i think the shop placed a QBP order on friday, and may be ordering again on tuesday.

also- they may have some bmx tugs that could work.

I'd loan you a bolted wheel to get you running, but i don't got's one currently. btw - whatcha building up?

I picked up a Fort frame singlespeed from someone in this board. I am just building it on the cheap to see if I like the singlespeed mountainbike thing. If so, I will upgrade the cheap (mostly parts bin or performance brand) parts.

Actually, I was the one who mis-spoke now that I think about it (I have edited my original post). When I called there yesterday, I asked about singlespeed cranks (which I ended up picking up at the new store in Ballson, Contes), not tugnuts.
