I hit Schaffer today for my last Germantown ride before the bullets start to fly. I was not alone in playing hooky today - must have been a dozen cars in the lot when I started and still were a handful when I rode out in the rain (rain?! where in heck was THAT in the forecast?!).

Saw Julie and another MORE woman with whom I've ridden at Avalon (Sorry, bad at names!) on the White Loop. Hope y'all beat the rain out, I was pretty darn wet by the time I made it off the trail.

Good to see you out there Shannon! Liz and I were on the Yellow Loop when the rain started. Luckily Liz knew how to get to the gravel road that leads to Schaeffer Rd. It really started raining while we were packing up to leave.

Instead of going on a morning ride, I made a sweet potato pie (now called Mater-Tater pie in honor of the movie Cars!). So I started out for a ride at 1:30. I was on my way down to Schaeffer when it started raining. I turned around and tried Greenbrier on the north side of the park, but I'm not familiar with the trails there. I didn't go too far. Too cold and I could see the rain coming.

I wish I had headed out earlier.
