Looking at the Weather for the rest of the week, I feel compelled to join the ride. However, I have to admit I am one tired puppy from yesterday. I'll do my best to hang on.....................

Well - My BEST wasn't too good. Slow on the uphill’s, sloppy on the downhill’s.
It's a good thing Stoner wasn't there or he would have laughed himself to death.
AND - It turns out that JoeP despises old white guys.
(What was up with those Power Line climbs?? )
L
PS It was a good ride - :D - A suffer fest and a dark realization on far I've slipped, but a good ride.

I crashed attempting to keep up with Joe (big mistake)... and me ribs are pretty banged up, hurts to laugh!
He punished Larry and me pretty hard...which made it a really great ride...

How were the trail conditions yesterday?

How were the trail conditions yesterday?I rode yesterday after I had to drive all the way to the beltway and Little River TP for a doctor's appt. Overall, the conditions were pretty good. I didn't ride the bowl, but the rest was much, much better than last Thursday.
Unfortunately I have to work late tonight and can't ride tonight. Maybe Thursday.

It's been raining here in Ballston, albeit somewhat lightly, for the past couple of hours. Looks like there is the potential for more to come this evening - my inclination is to cancel because of a) trail damage, and b) I'd really rather not start off riding in the rain.

It's raining here in Mclean and has been for the past couple hours. My wife says it's been pouring in Manasssas most of the day. Chances are slim Wakefield managed to remain in the only dry spot around. ;)

I gotta see what Larry's been crying about on Tuesday's mornings. See you tonight. The Rock Lobster is clean, new rear rubber, and a whole new drivetrain. I just hope the legs are willing after Saturday's Gambrill thrashing.

Larry's just being a big baby. "Joe makes us go up the powerlines, Joe hates old white men, whaaaa!" That's not hate. That's tough love. See you there.

I'm thankful for everyone who showed up on last Monday's ride. It was a great group to ride with. Wes kept it going on the singlespeed despite the Gambril epic the Saturday before. Brian was riding strong until a mechanical took him out. Ernie always manages to find our group mid-ride (even when we turn off all our lights and are really quiet... ;) ). And of course Larry, who keeps coming back no matter how much I try to make these rides suck. What? You think I *like* doing repeats on the powerline climbs?

COOL - Of course I popped 10 minutes after Wes dropped off. It was like someone threw a switch into the OFF position.
Kilroy's was fun too. $1.50 beverages and $3 a pound wings. I have no idea how Wes finished that burger and fries and wings............
L
PS Will I be seeing a trail monitor report??

I recall someone else (myotherbrother) helping with the fries (just one more-promise!). Yeah and about those wings- you sounded like a squirrel that just found his stash when you saw the wings I had put away behind the table. Somehow they too ended up in YOUR tummy. If you still ate red meat, I'd bet some of that burger would also have disappeared.

I don't know about no Joe - But I should be there for a more casual Spin.
3 hours and some change up at the Shed yesterday left my legs somewhat lethargic. It was doubtful that I could do a full tilt ride but I still want to do something.
