I'm setting up a 3 day trip to Fayetteville, WV, near the Gauley & New River for l mt. biking & fall photography and maybe so WW rafting if there's time. I plan to leave on Friday Oct 20 and return Sunday night.
Saturday, the 21st is "Bridge Day" when people bungy or parachute from the New River Bridge, one of the longest and tallest arch bridges in the world.
Sunday, the 22nd is a great day for WW-rafting since the dam in the area is scheduled for a controlled release which means great white water conditions. http://www.wvrafting.com/
The exact schedule is not arranged yet since I don't know how many folks are coming. If you are interested to come or have questions, just send me a reply. I plan to leave Friday morning and come back Sunday night but the exact times are pending a majority preference.
I have a Nissan Pathfinder and can accommodate 2 more people & 2 mt bikes on the rack. Contact me ASAP so I can find someplace to stay since Bridge Day is a big event.
