Trail is packed down nicely. No dust. Stream crossing was about 28inches and moving at a good pace. I fell over and found that my bike floats and almost lost it down the stream. I took the good line too (hugging the left bank and cutting over last min) I didnt go past where the trail use to swerve through the corn because i was pressed for time and didnt want to get gobbeled up by the big green john deer combine harvester that was doing its dutys in the field. All the corn that lined the trail should be gone now and instead of lining it it will be covering the path. Rocks are fun as usual and there are some new rerouts since i was last there making the trail more flowey. Overall i give it a thumbs up but just be carefull when you cross the stream MOUNAIN BIKES DO FLOAT!!!

Any guesses or insight as to the conditions of HMC for a ride tomorrow morning? Does it close a rain rain?

It should be open. THe trails are mostlikely going to be atleast damp (depending on how the night goes) and the stream crossing is going to be high and fast (be carefull) The second singletrack section should give you a good hint as to how the rest of the trail will be.

Just got back from my own 30 mile epic from my house. Seneca Creek State Park trails are rideable (at least those that led to Riffle Ford Rd). I rode Hoyles and it is rideable, as well. Trails are moist and solid, however, there is no mud. Get out and enjoy them!

FYI - The amount of rain is not the determining factor for the crossing of Little Seneca Creek. It is downstream of the reservior at Black Hill. The crossing was very low today, by the way.

FYI2- There is one tree down and elevated above the trail on the singletrack section behind the Soccerplex. I will report it to the park folks.
