Any shops around here sell them? I'd like to test ride one. Purely for academic purposes. Just in case my current bike, uh, breaks. You know how it goes.

Liberty Bike Shop (http://www.libertybikeshop.com) carries Redline in abundance. I bought a Monocog 29er there, and they sold it to me considerably below the MSRP. Amazing service, and right across the street from Patapsco. Good luck in your search! :D

I ride with clockwork regularly and since he has gotten his monocog 29er his speed has increased significantly. Ive ridden it on a short portion of hoyels mill and it felt nice, alittle rough but extreemly efficiant. He took it to fountainhead and completely decimated me on just about everything. I know it was the bike (well he is very fit to begin with) but he wouldnt have kicked my ass so greatly if he wasnt riding that military green work of art :D

If you're tall, Pedalshop has a 21" demo sitting on the floor that anyone is welcome to take for a spin.

Pedalshop is close to me, I think....but 21" would be way too big for me. I'll go check 'em out, nonetheless.

No matter where you go the shop will have to order one for you. I called around to all the dealers in the area and found none had one on the floor except for Pedalshop. I didn't even bother test riding it...I just had Mike there order one for me. It took about two weeks, but that's because Redline had to wait a week for the shipment from their plant. If Redline has them in stock then you should have one in about a week. I tell you what...I don't think there is a better upgrade friendly bike out there for $470. The color is hot too....looks way better in person than any pictures you've seen. I've only ridden it once so far, but when I get some more rides under my belt I'll be posting some thoughts up on my blog. Good luck!

$470?!? NOICE!
Any idea what the "flight" model is going for? I like the idea of sliding dropouts, cuz I'm not so sure about the singlespeed thing...

Dont get the flight. A 26 inch aluminum rigid bike is way too harsh for any pleasure. Definatly look at the steel models.

I'm talking about the 29er. And According ot the website, it's "Japanese Sanko Double Butted Chromoly ." I'm not sure what "Japanese Sanko" means (sounds like coffee), but CroMo is steel, right?
