I had the same thing happened to my Flite saddle. I took the it back to Performance where I bought it. They said it was a quality issue and gave me a new one.
The Ti rail was strong there was just no way I could put it back. I wouldn't try bend it too much. A broken rail during riding is definitely not going to be pleasant.

If you bought it from an online store, they might be able to offer a replacement or discount, and better yet, if it was brand new, then the manufacturer is also a good shot to try.
Now, if you bought it on Ebay, and/or in second hand, then indeed you might be out of luck....
Good luck :o

Get the saddle clamped in a bench vice.
Then, insert a large slot-head screwdriver into the plastic rail receiver. Use the flat plane of the screwdriver to to lever the saddle rail.
You'll have to put a lot of pressure on the saddle rail, but the rail and saddle will deform then snap back together.
I've done it before. I think it was a WTB, in fact.

I second CountZero. I had it happen to my WTB Rocket on the trail way to many miles to ride all of the way standing. It took me some time and some creative use of nature but I was able to pop it back in and once I made it home a little Super Glue finished the fix.

I had a problem with a broken rail with a Selle Italia Century saddle a few years back. The company replaced it. It's not as interesting as those other customer service thread replies, so I didn't offer it...What's the worst they can say... "No?"
Sometimes the companies want to know what happens so they can improve the next batch of product. Of course there are the companies that seem to think that they never have quality issues (read Shimano) but many other companies do want your feedback and business. Give 'em a try.

PS You might want to mention that other people have had the same problem, just to make sure they realize it may be a quality control issue.

If you want to stick with the rocket v, Performance in Springfield has the progel version on their clearance rack for 40-50 bucks. The last time I was there they had two left. However, I agree with skiandmtb, give WTB a ring and see what they can do for you.

ill try calling wtb, i dont feel like haggling with fullcycle. ive heard they are a pain. i can't complain about the quality of the saddle though, even with the force it took to pull it apart it didn't actually break. now if they consider replacing the saddle, i'll be a customer for life.

I had (have) a rocket v that came free of its moorings during one of the Wakefield races. I got a box end wrench on the Ti, had my wife pry the plastic a little with pliers. Both ends were out. I got them both back in and had no other problems since.
I believe that Ti is sortof springy like steel. It should not hurt it too much to bend it. I notice mine sprung right back into place.
As a side note, any of you WTB saddle riders notice your riding shorts shredding rather quickly? I was wondering about my 1 year old Nike, short, but now I am downright suspicious about my new Perl Izumi shorts. I think the stitching on the saddle is doing it. Anyone else?

Please let us know how it goes. I've used the Rocket V Ti for a year now and love every minute of it. Of course compared to a stock Bontrgaer saddle, why wouldn't I love my WTB Saddle.
And to answer another question, no I havent notice any irregular wear and tear on my bike shorts becuase of the stitching on the saddle.
