Question from a member of the ignorati:
Can anyone define the term "Agressive Geometry"?, as to specific frame configs, brands, etc.

For example, would the Genesis Geometry of the Fisher line qualify as aggressive?

.... next on the list of course would be "passive-agressive" geometry, :D

Well first off, I'm no expert and I could be completely wrong.

But I always thought the term "agressive" used with geometry had to do with a really quick handling bike. One that you have to stay on top of ( no daydreaming ) while riding, but would be really resonsive. Think: "fast race bikes".
Again I "think" this would mean steeper tube angles etc.

Then again down hill bikes have really slack angles, so that would be geometry that you could ride more agressively............... I don't think I'm the one to answer this. :D

It's the kind of bike that kicks sand in the face of the other bikes, and generally just talks a lot of trash out on the trail. Most of them have tattoos, and listen to angry punk music. :D

Yup, that's it!

Aggressive geo means that it is super-quick handling. The negative connotation is 'nervous' or 'twitchy' ride quality. All you have to do is think and it's turning for you. Can become unstable at speed. The positive connotation is 'responsive' and 'precise.' Steep angles.

DH bikes have slack geo for stability. Go fast, be stable, correct mistakes. The faster you go, the better they get. Generally, the more aggressive you ride, the LESS aggressive you want your geo.
