This Saturday, September 2 at 10 am, Ride Like a Girl will be at Wakefield Park in Virginia. Please RSVP if you are planning on coming to the ride; at the moment, I'm only going to have one group, due to the holiday, but if I get a lot of rsvp's, I'll find an additional leader.
If we get the rain as they're calling for, this ride will be cancelled! I will post to email and the MORE forums by 8 am Saturday if the ride is cancelled.
Pace/ Terrain: We will be riding the racecourse. There is something for everyone in this park: it is also very doable for beginners, with a little walking. More about the park: http://www.more-mtb.org/forum/showthread.php?t=1202
Where: We will meet at the recycling bins near the community center.
Directions: Wakefield park may be reached by taking Beltway Exit 54A which is Braddock Road west for one quarter mile to the park entrance on the right. For MORE rides, follow the entrance road until it ends at a left turn into a parking lot. This is the parking lot for the rec center. Rides leave from the large recycling bins in this lot.
The Ride: Here's a link to the map of the route:

What to Bring: All riders MUST wear a helmet (no lid, no ride), bring water, and have a trail-ready bike. Riders should also carry the usual basics: spare tube(s), a pump, tire levers, a chain tool, and basic allen wrenches.
Any questions, just ask! Liz
