Trail work initiated by Montgomery Co. Parks Dept. at Fairland Park will begin Tuesday morning around 8am and go to about 2 or 3pm. Four dump truck loads of dirt were brought in to fill in old rutted trail. Now the next step is to close and reclaim the old trail and build a new trail head.
Although most people work during the week, it would be great to show how much we want to support trails here.
The tentative plan is to: 1-finish putting in check dams, 2-chip wood or bring in mulch to place on the old trail closing, 3-open the new trail and replant vegetation from the new trail to the old.
Probably go into Wednesday.
