Recommended pedals...

Hi all,
I've only ridden my new Marin over the weekend, but I've already found that the pedals that came with it are pretty rubbish. Granted, I don't have proper shoes as yet, but I found that my feet were slipping when the pedals got a little wet. Does anyone have any recommedations for non clip pedals that aren't too expensive and give better grip?

WTB makes some nice ones that you can grease and will last forever. I have a set on my kid-trailer bike. All metal construction, which is nice but at $40 (is that right?), they ain't cheap. You can get nice, cheap metal pedals at most bike shops. Just make sure that you ask for 9/16" pedals.
