Hey Liz,

Other summer plans mess up the first two classes, but I'd love to get them if you offer them later.

I'd really like to attend one of these but no way that I can get from Baltimore to Columbia by 6:00pm. Do you know of any plans to do this sort of clinic in the Baltimore area?

That's a possibility. Princeton Sports, who is sponsoring the clinics, has a store in Baltimore. I'll ask.....

The Princeton Sports on Falls Rd is right by my house; that would be awesome. Thanks!

I'm new to this site, and am sorry to see I missed the last series of introductory classes. :( If you all plan any more in the future, I would love to hear about them. . . Also, if you or someone you know would be interested in giving me a moutain biking class some weekend in the near future (for $), I'd be interested in arranging it.

I ride my moutain bike often and have good endurance, but don't have much off road experience unless you count the C&O canal.

I'm afraid we don't have any other introductory clinics scheduled, but I would be happy to give you a couple of lessons (no charge :) ). I have races the next couple of weekends, but can ride after work. Or weekends after September 9. Where are you located?

Hi Liz:

That's nice of you to offer. I'd love to coordinate something. I live in Bethesda near Cabin John. And you? Depending on location, weekday evenings could be an option. Otherwise, we could try for some weekend after your races end.

I was thinking of trying Fairland Regional Park or Little Bennett tomorrow on my own. Do you recommend one over the other for a first try?

thanks,
Ursula

I've never been to Fairland, but I think Little Ben would be a good ride, based on your previous post. Not too technically difficult, but with some nice climbs. Print out a map and take it with you, the signage is pretty good.
I'll PM you about possible lesson times.

I second Liz's recommendation to hit up Little Bennett. The trails are pretty well marked and there's a map that you can access through the "Where to Ride" section. Keep an eye out for horses, as LB has more equestrian traffic than MTB. Fairland isn't as well marked and I don't think there's a map available. Have fun!

Thank you all for the recommendation. Little Bennett was a blast and very quiet for a weekend. I really enjoyed myself and hope to get out again next weekend for another try. :o
