All,
I just wanted to let you know that Mike P., Dave S. and I were at Wakefield today taking out a couple of big ole tree’s that had fallen onto the race course.
As for the trails, they really aren’t in the best of shape. Salamander and 495 both have standing water. The Stream Valley trail was muddy. Parts of Phase I and Phase II were ridable but it’s hard to make a good loop. The Bowl was decent.
My recommendation for people who absolutely have to ride local dirt tomorrow
(You know the ones who don't take NO for an answer - Or "Don't tell me what I can do)
is to hit the bowl and then head straight over to Accotink. If you don’t, expect to tear up some of the wetter trails and plan on getting your bike and drive train muddy and wet as heII. Remember a new XT drive trail is gonna cost you about $300.
