I am a new member and need/want to ride. I know where the trails are but would prefer to ride with this club more often locally. I hope to do some racing later as my skill level increases.

Welcome to the club. Keep an eye out here for rides. Ride leaders post here to let others know when and where as well as pace and terrain difficulty.
Where do you live and where do you frequent for your rides?

I'm relatively new to this forum as well...and one of my own goals this season was to be a little more social in the riding scene. Click the 'calendar' tab under the MORE logo for list of official rides. There are also tons of unofficial, 'hook up' type rides all the time. Seeya on the trails!

Also, if there is a specific place you are interested in riding, post up and ask if anyone is willing to lead a ride there. I have lead rides on request several times in the past, as have other people in the forum.
For beginners, the absolute best ride in the area is the Tuesday-Thursday casual Wakefield rides. Tons of new riders got their start in MORE there.
