Greetings Riding Women! I currently have reservations for lodging in the Richmond downtown Crown Plaza for the weekend of the X-Terra, and am looking for another woman (women?) who want to share. I stayed in the Crown Plaza for last year's race, and found it very convenient for getting to and from the race site. We easily walked our bikes and all of our gear between hotel and race. My reservation is currently for 2 adults for check-in Friday, 6/16 and check-out Monday, 6/19 at a total rate of $100.00 per night. These dates allow for the flexibility to chill a bit pre-race on Saturday, and to enjoy a post-race shower and nap on Sunday. (Otherwise, we would have to check-out before the race Sunday morning, and would have no where to clean up after the race). I still have the flexibility to add another adult and/or cancel the Friday night stay, if potential roomie(s) would prefer to arrive on Saturday. If potential roomie(s) would be coming from the DC area, I would also love to carpool down. I have a station wagon that can easily carry 2 (or 3) bikes and lots of tri-gear. Depending on how many roomies I find, and what dates we each finally decide to stay, the total weekend's lodgings would run you from $50.00 to $150.00.
