Liz,
Great job on coordinating the ride today. 12 women, all told. As the seasoned professional, I brought neosporin and bandaids and only needed first-aid for myself! Chainring attacked my leg, again.

So the shed is the next RLAG ride Sat. 13th, which is challenging terrain.
Barbara discussed coordinating an easier ride on Sat as well. I and Karen are going to post something for Sunday the 14 that will also be easy, like Fairlands or Schaeffer. Stay posted and keep telling MORE women to join in the rides.

The Cedarville ride today was awesome--a fun ride with a great group, and many, many thanks due to Liz, Theresa, and Karen for the great leadership and guidance. I do plan to ride Cedarville again Saturday the 13th, leaving main parking at 10 am, and welcome any and all (whether or not you were on our ride to day) who would like to join. This is such a fun ride, with just enough challenge to keep us learning--kudos over and over to Liz for giving us all the chance to find this gem! Please feel free to contact me at babzdrake@hotmail.com if you'd like more information. Hope to see you next week!

I'm also looking for anyone interested in riding different tracks during the week (daytime especially, but evening can work)--I'm in Arlington, so if you are there or nearby, give a hollar!

I must second the kudos to Liz, Teresa, and Karen, and the rest of the women who came out for the cedarville ride! It was a fabulous way for this newbie to get back on the bike, and the information provided regarding skills and equipment is most appreciated. Can't wait to get out again with everyone!!

I am a wee bit jealous watching the new Women's forum and ride reports. Am I the only one who lives and works in DC without a car, yet is still serious about riding?

So, I am desparately seeking MTBers who live in DC to head out to MD or VA and back to DC, for some early morning weekday rides, and occasionally for weekend riding. I increasingly rent a car to get out to trails, but it's near impractical b/c of rental car rates, return hours/hassles, etc. Not to mention, it would be much safer to ride with a partner.

I have posted before about this, and much THANKS to Liz and a few other ladies who have been very gracious with suggestions. There is no dedicated ride board, so wondering how I can make this happen other than random posts?

I'm also looking for anyone interested in riding different tracks during the week (daytime especially, but evening can work)--I'm in Arlington, so if you are there or nearby, give a hollar!
