Can anyone please advise as to whether this trail is accessible to someone on a mountain comfort bike. Wide tires, upright posistioning, front shock fork.
Thanks,

Most of the trails at Riverbend would be okay on a comfort bike that you describe. Some of the stuff is better ridden on a mountain bike. There are trails at Riverbend have some short, but steep climbs/descents that a more aggressive positioning will make easier.
The trail surface in general is pretty buff dirt. There are a few rocks and roots and you can always count on there being some downed trees to hop or walk over.
In general, I'd say that the trails at Riverbend are somewhere between beginner and intermediate in nature.
The trails in Great Falls are definitely suited for riding a comfort bike than the ones in Riverbend. In Great Falls, the Cariage and Ridge trails are open to bicycles. I'd suggest that you stop by the Visitor's Center inside the park to talk about what trails are open the first time you go. After that you can actually park outside Great Falls at the Difficult Run parking lot and ride your bike in on the trails that are open to bikes.
When I lead rides in that area, I always do both parks in the same ride. You can loop around and get between 8 and 10 miles of riding from one lap at Great Falls and Riverbend. The climbs are longer than most that you'll find at the parks this close in to town. I like that. :)
Hope that is of some assistance.
