Loch Raven Trail conditions

Rode Tuesday August 19th. Seminary Road trails. A couple puddles and some soft trails but overall pretty good. Should be in good shape today.

The upper loop was devastated by Isabel. Trees are down everywhere. On Sat. (9/27) we had a 4 man crew put in 5 hours and cleared about 1.5 - 2 miles of trail. There is still a lot of work to do.

If you've got the time, get out and do some work. Every little bit helps. It's going to take a while to get things back in shape.

What do you mean by the "upper loop" How is the main seminary trail?

Guess I should have been a bit more clear in my trail description. I'm not sure about Seminary's condition (the lower loop). The upper loop is off Dulaney Valley road near the bridge, just before the split with Jarrettsville pike.

Northern portion of Loch Raven (Merryman's, etc.) was in good shape overall, a few isolated wet spots. We avoided the stuff that runs next to the water since it was bound to be wet.
