If you are interested in learning proper building techniques for making sustainable trails and features, then you are in luck. This years IMBA Trail Care Crew is one half freerider. If you have wanted to ever speak with an official person of IMBA about freeriding, this is your chance. If you would like to learn ways to interact with land managers and park officials, then this is for you. If you are interested in what constitutes "proper" building techniques, this is your class!
There are two opportunities. The IMBA Trail Care Crew will be paying us a visit at the end of the month. Classes will be held on Friday, April 28 and Saturday, April 29. If you have never attended a TCC visit, I would highly recommend it as the skills learned are invaluable. The class is the same Friday and Saturday, so there's no need to attend both days.
My particular company offers "Civic" time, which is basically paid time off for community volunteer events, so I'm able to attend Friday. If your work place offers something similar, it's worth checking.
