Is there anyone interested in riding urban trials? I live in Reston, VA, and up until recently I've strictly been a cross country rider, but lately I've doing a lot of urban riding and I'm trying to learn trials skills. I'd love to ride some freeride obstacles/stunts, but since there aren't many around, the whole urban trials thing seems to be doing it for me.
Anyone else in the area doing this kind of riding that might like to ride with me from time to time? It doesn't necessarily have to be in Reston. I'm up for riding anywhere.

Remember when I returned your wheel this winter and I said I was thinking about buying an urban bike? Well, I finally bought it (Specialized P.2) a couple of weeks ago.
I'm not doing big stair gaps or balancing on 5-foot ledges or anything too crazy yet. I'm primarly focusing on trials-style, bike handling skills, which I think will help with all the riding that I do. I'm working on stuff like balance, big bunny hops, zap taps, pedal kicks, wheelie drops, and side hops. I'm also playin' around with goofy stuff like endos and manuals (which I will master if it kills me!!!).
Lately I've been riding off of Sunrise Valley road. I found a great loading dock and the building appears to be abandoned for now, so usually no one bugs me. The loading dock starts off flush with the ground and the ground slopes downward (i.e. the height of the loading dock gradually increases). It's the perfect place to learn trials skills, because you can start off with a 2" ledge, and work up to a 4-foot ledge.
BTW, I used to skateboard too, and I've had my share of face-to-pavement injuries. I'm also trying to avoid these now since I am an "adult" ;)

I don't know if this will help, but:

There's a ride spots subforum in their forums section (registration required).
