I've seen a lot of inquiries on the MORE listserver about travel cases at different times. What about the possibility of MORE buying this case and 'renting' it to members cheaply? Seems like most people only need something like this once in a great while and spending even a much reduced $150 for a case on top of the $50-75 to take it on the plane would prevent many people from taking their bikes when they might otherwise want to.

Any board members watching this thread?

That would be a good idea and actually if you are a memeber of IMBA also I believe there are some airlines that will not charge you.
