From the MORE listserv 6/12/03:

I rode around the white loop at Schaefer yesterday. The dry parts are dry but
the wet parts are wet. I wouldn't recommend heading out there, especially after
last night's deluge. Patapsco will have some dry sections, but most of it will
be wet for a solid week after rain. The fields drain over the trails and the
ground is so saturated with water that we just shouldn't be out there any time
soon. Even after a week of high temps, wind and no rain, Patapsco will be wet.
Please stay off for now.

I'll be out this Sunday for a tool around the trails. I haven't been out there even once this year because of all the *&@^#$ rain. But it's supposed to be *dry* for the next several days, and if we have any luck it'll be a go on Sunday!

I will post Monday morning how the conditions were.

Schaeffer is not dry enough to endure a lot of traffic just yet. I was out yesterday, and the white trail is a mudpit. Several sections of the yellow trail are dry enough to be ridden, but there are spots where you'll be swimming through muck.

My personal opinion is that it needs to dry out for a couple more days, and the white trail should be off limits for another week. The section of the yellow trail that goes through the drainage area for one of the fields is really bad, and may not dry up this year. I'd vote for a re-route for that section if it's feasible.
