Schaeffer Closing?

Does Schaeffer close for the winter? and if so, when does it usually close? Want to get a good day in up there before it gets too late.

It normally doesn't close for the whole winter. It just closes when trail conditions are bad. There is a trail conditions hotline listed on the Where To Ride page. That will tell you if it is open.

Fountainhead is normally the same way.

I thought Fountainhead does close for the winter - in a sense. The parking lot is closed but the park is still open when weather allows. You just have to park on the access road.

Yup. The park gates are closed, but if conditions are good, you just ride around the gates and onto the trails.

Schaeffer doesn't do that. If the gates are closed, the trail is closed.
