9/11/05 >> Today I rode the area of Patapsco that I refer to as "Woodstock Road area". ( just South of the McKeldin area ) Because it has been so dry lately I thought it would be good time to give this area a looksie. Conditions were pretty much as I expected...dry and fast. On the trails I rode there were no major dead-falls. On the trail that parallels the river going down hill from McKeldin (towards Woodstock...the most westernly trail) I couldn't help but notice all the go-around trails started by the equestrians. This part of the trail is eroded but there must be at least 2-3 go-arounds just for one short section. Oh well..(sigh)..what can you do (except bitch about it)? I have no report for the stream trail that goes toward the quarry pond as I didn't go that way. Hopefully, all the dead-falls that were on it earlier in the year have been cleared but ya never know.
