Someone had posted 1 or 2 months ago that they were looking for a used Apex or similar for commuting to work. I have an old Apex that I keep as a second bike and am too attached to ever sell it, but while driving by a Pawn shop on Mt. Vernon Ave one block North of the intersection with Glebe Rd. I do believe I spotted an Apex right in the front window. I could see that it was either an Ascent or Apex.
I must say that the ergo's of the Apex fit me better than any other frame I ride.

Hey there, I was looking for an old Apex to use as a SS conversion.

Mt. Vernon & Glebe? I'm guessing this is in DC and not the Glebe Rd in Arlington?

I'm looking for the mid 90's Apex (think they came in red or blue) that was made out of the true temper steel, this was a ridiculously light bike esp since I'm looking for a 16-17" frame.

Thanks for the feed back...

Hi,

It's in far South Arlington, almost Alexandria. Located on the section of Mt. Vernon between East and West Glebe. It sounds confusing but you'll understand if you look at an Arlington map.

LOL, I live really close by actually. I live in Shirlington and am very close to Park FFX. I'm still drawing a blank on the pawn shop though. It must be on Rt 1 between the two Glebe's? I'll go canvas the area on my way home. Thanks for the heads up, might end up being "the one".

So I finally got out to that pawn shop. Turned out to be an early 90's Ascent (Blue with that wild splatter paint). In really good condition, but I'm going to pass on that one. Thanks for the heads up though!
